Qatar E-visa to Be Issued Through the Hayya Platform

Qatar e-visa will be issued through the Hayya platform, which was previously used to issue fan cards during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Travelers will have access to three new types of e-visa – A1, A2, A3. The first category includes citizens of countries that do not have the right to obtain a visa on arrival or are not allowed to enter Qatar without a visa. The second category is for residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The third category is for citizens with a visa or residence permit in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Schengen countries.

Tourists who require a visa to enter Qatar can apply through the Hayya platform at www.hayya.qa or through the app on their smartphones. Permission to enter the country must arrive within 48 hours.

Simplifying the tourist visa process is a step towards establishing Doha as the Arab Capital of Tourism in 2023, Qatar Tourism Chairman Akbar Al-Baker said.
