Wizz Air announces five new routes from Rome, starting from 2023, as well as increased frequency on eight routes from Rome Fiumicino.
The allocation of two more aircraft in Rome Fiumicino base will grow Wizz Air’s base to nine aircraft. The move brings the total number of the airline’s routes from Rome to 66 in summer 2023, including five newly launched. Passengers will now be able to fly with Wizz Air from Rome to Castellon (Spain), Luxembourg, Baku (Azerbaijan), Abu Dhabi (the UAE) and Kuwait City (Kuwait). Furthermore, the additional capacity allows Wizz Air to increase the frequency of its flights from the base to Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia (Spain), Prague (the Czech Republic), Dortmund (Germany), London Gatwick (the UK), Tel Aviv (Israel), Yerevan (Armenia).

Adding two new Airbus A321neo aircraft and launching five new routes from Rome to Europe and the Middle East, Wizz Air now offers 800,000 additional seats providing new and expanded low fare services from Italy’s capital city. This continued expansion further reinforces Wizz Air’s position as the third largest airline in Italy, which becomes the fastest growing market in the airline’s network.
