Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis to Be Redesigned

Known for its spectacular views of the iconic Gateway Arch, Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis announces an enhanced guest experience following a fresh, contemporary redesign to all of its 200 guest rooms and suites to be fully completed by mid-summer. This multi-million dollar rooms renovation comes on the heels of the recent sleek revamp to the Hotel’s the first floor arrival lobby and eighth floor Sky Lobby and public spaces, which included the addition of the award-winning Cinder House restaurant. Long established as the destination in St. Louis for socializing, gala events and weddings, the Hotel’s stunning outdoor spaces offer a chic rooftop playground where guests and locals alike can soak in the amazing views of the Arch and majestic Mississippi. With this new unified design concept, this market-leading Hotel is poised to set a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in St. Louis.

“We are excited to unveil our newly redesigned rooms and offer an enhanced guest experience with a new level of comfort, elegance and serenity,” says Alper Oztok, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis. “Enriched by the inspiring views of the Mississippi River and Gateway Arch, the design provides guests with a strong connection to St. Louis, which is further brought to life by our amazing team of service professionals.”

New Room Design

The design was led by St. Louis-based R|5 Design Agency who continued their vision from the public areas into the guest rooms. The aim of rooms redesign was to create the ultimate in-room relaxation environment while also integrating local design aspects to provide a strong sense of place.

Soft carpeting with a mottled blue, grey and taupe abstract pattern lays the canvas for the other design elements to shine. Furniture and cabinetry in pale wood tones are topped with crisp white marble for a clean and airy aesthetic anchored by a bold custom-designed wallcovering that is the focal point of the room. A lounger lushly upholstered in navy blue velvet beckons guests to relax and take in the stunning views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. Glass accent tables and light fixtures, graceful floor lamps, and textured accent pillows complete the serene, sophisticated look.

According to acclaimed designer Manuela Macias, Design Manager of R|5 DESIGN AGENCY, “The design goal was to achieve a cohesive guest experience from the first step into the lobby through to the guest room. There, we sought to create a superlative wind down zone with soft and plush textures where guests can relax and enjoy the one-of-a-kind view. We integrated many local design aspects to connect guests to the city and enjoy a truly memorable stay.”

Summer Experiences

This summer, Hotel guests can also immerse themselves in classic St. Louis style, from lounging poolside just steps away from the Gateway Arch to a curated list of experiences inspired by the Hotel’s historic surroundings. On the Sky Terrace, a rare urban escape perched on the eighth floor, the resort-style heated pool and hot tub are surrounded by private cabanas where guests are pampered with personalized service and an array of amenities – from chilled drinks and frozen treats to scented oshibori towels and aloe vera ice cubes. In addition to bottle service, adults will appreciate the Strawberry Daiquiri and Margarita cocktail ice pops on offer. While the whole family can enjoy the new “Game Deck” adjacent to the pool and primed for fun with bocce ball, corn hole, oversized Jenga and more. Later this summer, the Hotel will launch a bespoke Champagne cart to make rounds at the pool serving guests chilled glasses of bubbly on demand. Created exclusively for Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, this Chariot de Champagne will also be on-hand to add an elegant flair to private events.

The new seasonal pool menu offers a choice of cocktails that use the city’s distinctive character as their muse, such as the Saint Louis Blues with rum, banana liqueur, white wine, and pineapple juice or the Lafayette Square Spritz with citrus vodka, red wine, cranberry juice, blackberry syrup. These are complemented by frozen concoctions, including Strawberry Daiquiris, Piña Coladas, and Red Bull Watermelon Margaritas as well as local and craft beers available individually or by the bucket. With a nod to the locale, snacks include toasted ravioli and charred onion dip, while heartier fare leads with sandwiches filled with roast beef, pulled pork and a classic turkey club. For sweets, the house-made ice cream is a cool choice in classic flavours such as chocolate and vanilla, or the fresh take on a hometown fave STL gooey butter cake.

The lushly landscaped patio also features the al fresco Cinder Bar and lounge with plush seating nestled around a fountain and fire pit lit by twinkling bistro lights. An innovative cocktail menu, wines by the glass and a handpicked selection of beers are offered alongside snacking favourites such as the Chef’s Selection Charcuterie Board, make it the perfect spot to watch the setting sun reflect from a gleaming Arch.

Adding to this special spot’s appeal, each week this summer, Cinder Bar hosts “Tasting Thursday” from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, offering sampling opportunities and specials featuring different wine and spirit varietals. The selections will rotate each week, and while a full event schedule will be released shortly, guests can be assured the summer go-to choice, rosé, will be featured.

Just inside Cinder Bar on eighth floor, the innovative Topgolf Swing Suite offers virtual game play and big screen events with elevated classic pub fare. Guests can also book an indulgent session in the full-service Spa with twelve luxurious treatment rooms and then enjoy some downtime in the co-ed relaxation lounge with breath-taking views of the Arch. For those who want to stay active, the 24-hour fitness centre offers cardio machines, Peloton bikes, free weights and more.
