The latest diversification within the group’s portfolio has seen the creation of ‘Pocotel’, a brand for small to mid-sized contemporary hotels that offer convenience, style and great value for money. A concept deriving from ‘Poco’, the Italian word for ‘little’, embodies the intimacy and community feel of smaller city hotels that prioritise comfort without all the fuss.
The owners of the newly opened 91-bedroom Glasgow property, Bracknell Property LLP, are an existing RBH partner, and have appointed the hospitality management company at a time of major investment and heightened demand in the city ahead of COP26 in November and in line with ongoing city regeneration works.
With general manager Marika Fergie at the helm, the hotel offers travellers a convenient stop-over in the centre of the city’s action, with well-designed, modern bedrooms, a selection of F&B options and two intimate conference rooms.
The opening of Pocotel Glasgow City Centre comes just four weeks after RBH’s last hotel opening – The Corner London City, during a pivotal time of expansion for the hospitality management company. With additional properties in the pipeline, RBH has two further London hotels due to open imminently – Gantry London, Curio Collection by Hilton and Westin London City.
