Lufthansa has announced the launch of non-stop flights from Frankfurt to Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland in northern Finland, starting from November 30, 2024. The airline will operate flights twice a week, providing travelers with convenient access to the Arctic Circle and the enchanting landscapes of Lapland.
Rovaniemi, situated on the Arctic Circle, offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in untouched nature and explore breathtaking natural phenomena such as the Northern Lights. The city serves as an ideal gateway to discover spectacular cross-country ski resorts and indulge in outdoor adventures.
The addition of Rovaniemi marks Lufthansa’s continued success in Finland, complementing its existing destinations including Helsinki, Oulu, Kittilä, Ivalo, and Kuusamo. This new route underscores Lufthansa’s commitment to providing diverse travel experiences to its passengers.
In addition to the launch of the Frankfurt-Rovaniemi route, Lufthansa will also continue its flights from Frankfurt to Chișinău, the capital of the Republic of Moldova, during the winter season. This connection, initiated in summer 2024, provides travelers with access to another vibrant European destination.
Furthermore, Nantes in France, introduced as a new destination in the summer, will now also be available for exploration from Munich during the winter months. This expansion of winter destinations enhances Lufthansa’s network and offers passengers more choices for their travel plans.
