Krasnodar Airport Resumes Operations

On Friday, December 15, Krasnodar Airport, “Pashkovskiy,” hosted a test flight by the airline “Azimuth,” utilizing a Superjet 100 aircraft from Mineralnye Vody.

This flight was necessary to assess all aspects of the interaction between air traffic control and airport services.

The aircraft’s test flight to the capital of Kuban will allow an assessment of the readiness of air traffic control, airfield, and special services to handle passenger flights at Krasnodar Airport. A thorough performance analysis will be conducted before making a final decision. “Passenger safety is the top priority,” emphasized Dmitry Yadrov, the head of the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency.

In 2022, with the launch of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, all civilian flights to and from the airport were indefinitely suspended.
