Hard Rock International Announces Plans for Hard Rock Hotel Long Beach, California

In collaboration with Steinhauer Properties, Hard Rock International unveils plans for the development of Hard Rock Hotel Long Beach, marking the first new-build full-service hotel in Long Beach, California, in three decades. Slated to commence construction in Summer 2024 and open its doors in Spring 2027, this upscale property will be a distinctive entertainment destination in downtown Long Beach, adjacent to the convention center.

Situated conveniently between Los Angeles and Newport Beach, the 31-story Hard Rock Hotel Long Beach promises easy access to local attractions such as Alamitos Beach, Shoreline Village, Long Beach Cruise Terminal, and the Aquarium of the Pacific. Boasting approximately 427 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, including a Rock Star Suite, the hotel will feature the Southern California Coast’s tallest open rooftop bar, offering 360-degree views.

Guests can indulge in amenities like an outdoor swimming pool with a deck showcasing Pacific Ocean views, a Body Rock® Fitness Studio, two on-site restaurants, and a Rock Shop® featuring Hard Rock’s iconic merchandise. Additionally, the property will house a unique “speakeasy” with an intimate concert hall accommodating around 250 patrons.

The ambitious development is anticipated to generate around 3,600 jobs, with a significant portion sourced through unions. During the construction phase starting next summer, approximately 3,100 positions will be created, and once the property commences operations in Spring 2027, around 500 permanent positions will be available. The Hard Rock Hotel Long Beach aims to rejuvenate the hospitality landscape in Southern California, offering a blend of luxury, entertainment, and iconic Hard Rock experiences.
