The town boasts some of the best beaches in the Algarve region, featuring extensive sandy coastlines and tranquil, warm, and clear waters. Praia do Vau, the location of the upcoming property, is bordered by coppery cliffs, turquoise waters, and a variety of restaurants serving fresh fish.
Jordi Vilanova, President of Mercan Properties, expressed excitement about being part of the evolution of the Hard Rock brand. He said, “We’re thrilled to create a unique asset on the shores of Praia do Vau that reflects the Portuguese culture and attracts visitors from around the globe. We believe that this collaboration between Mercan Properties and Hard Rock International will be a great success in Algarve and a very positive contribution to the country.”
The new development is expected to generate over 400 jobs in the area during both the construction phase and the operation of the property, commencing in 2024. The hotel’s presence is anticipated to enhance the tourism experience in the country.
