Aeroflot will commence flights from Moscow to Chengdu starting from April 1, 2024, according to AVIA.RU. The airline will operate two flights per week from Sheremetyevo Airport to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, with departures from Moscow on Mondays and Fridays, and return flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Chengdu will become the sixth destination in China served by Aeroflot from Moscow. The airline already operates regular flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Sanya (Hainan Island).
Chengdu is a major industrial, commercial, scientific, and financial center in China. The new route is expected to attract both business travelers and tourists. The local airport is also among the largest aviation hubs in China, opening up new possibilities for connecting flights to various destinations in China and Southeast Asia.
