Aeroflot Launches Flights to Occupied Crimea

Aeroflot launches direct interregional flights between Krasnodar and Simferopol. Daily flights on Boeing 737 will operate from 2 June through 1 October 2019 on the following schedule:

Route Flight Departure time Arrival time Days
Krasnodar – Simferopol SU2834    01:20 02:35 Daily

Aeroflot flights between Krasnodar and Simferopol are subsidised by the government. One-way economy class ticket costs RUB 2,500.

Aeroflot traditionally participates in the programme aimed at subsidising flights to the Far East, Kaliningrad and Simferopol. Earlier the programme was expanded to include flights between Sochi and Simferopol. These measures will increase the accessibility of the Crimea resorts.

Direct Aeroflot flights will connect large cities of the Russian South, thereby fulfilling an important task of launching new interregional flights that bypass Moscow. Aeroflot’s efforts help achieve the government’s goal of increasing air transport accessibility by a third by 2024.

Aeroflot is continuously expanding its route network and increasing flight frequencies to popular destinations. This Summer Aeroflot will fly to 159 destinations in 54 countries, including 58 destinations in Russia.
