Air Canada’s Aeroplan and World of Hyatt have launched a new loyalty partnership that expands earning, redemption and elite benefits across flights and hotel stays, giving members greater flexibility throughout their travel journeys.
The collaboration connects Aeroplan’s airline rewards programme with Hyatt’s global hotel loyalty scheme, covering more than 1,300 destinations and over 1,500 Hyatt hotels and resorts worldwide.
New Ways to Earn and Redeem Rewards
Aeroplan members can now redeem their points for World of Hyatt Free Night Awards at eligible Hyatt properties, including Category 1–4 and Category 1–7 awards starting from 25,000 Aeroplan points.
World of Hyatt members can also redeem Hyatt points for a 30,000-point Aeroplan flight reward certificate, which can be used toward flights operated by Air Canada and its airline partners.
“Hyatt is one of the world’s most admired hospitality brands, and we’re thrilled to bring World of Hyatt closer to Aeroplan Members,” said Scott O’Leary, Vice President, Loyalty and Product at Air Canada.
Additional Benefits for Linked Accounts
Members who link their Aeroplan and World of Hyatt accounts will gain access to additional earning opportunities and reciprocal benefits.
Aeroplan members can choose to earn 500 Aeroplan points per eligible Hyatt stay instead of World of Hyatt points. Members can also convert Hyatt points to Aeroplan at a 2:1 ratio starting from 5,000 Hyatt points.
Linked Aeroplan Elite members can convert Aeroplan points into World of Hyatt Bonus Points at a 2:1 ratio, with transfers starting at 500 Aeroplan points.
Bonus Rewards for Aeroplan Credit Cardholders
Eligible Aeroplan credit cardholders in Canada will receive accelerated rewards on Hyatt stays after linking their accounts.
Depending on the card type, members can earn up to 2.5 Aeroplan points and 2 World of Hyatt Bonus Points for every eligible Canadian dollar spent at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts.
Reciprocal Elite Status Perks
Aeroplan Elite Status members and eligible premium credit cardholders can now participate in an annual 90-day World of Hyatt status challenge.
Members can earn Discoverist status after four qualifying nights, Explorist after ten nights and Globalist after twenty nights, unlocking benefits including complimentary breakfast, room upgrades and late checkout where available.
Aeroplan Premium Credit Cardholders will also receive complimentary World of Hyatt Discoverist status, five annual Tier-Qualifying Night credits and two opportunities each year to complete the status challenge.
Meanwhile, World of Hyatt Discoverist, Explorist and Globalist members will receive an annual C$20 Air Canada flight credit after linking their accounts. Later in 2026, eligible Hyatt elite members will also be able to participate in challenges to fast-track Aeroplan Elite Status.
“We’re excited to bring World of Hyatt and Aeroplan together to make travel even more rewarding for our members,” said Laurie Blair, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Loyalty at Hyatt.
