Lopesan Hotel Group has expanded its presence in the Dominican Republic with the opening of Lopesan Caoba Lagoon, a 554-room resort designed around nature-inspired architecture, large-scale leisure facilities and a new convention centre.
The new resort is centred on a 127-metre lagoon-style swimming pool, complemented by cenote-inspired design elements and 10 waterfalls reflecting the company’s Flow philosophy, which emphasises a connection with nature throughout the guest experience.
New Convention Centre for Meetings and Events
One of the resort’s key features is the new Lopesan Convention Center, which can accommodate more than 2,000 delegates for meetings, conferences, exhibitions and special events.
The addition strengthens the destination’s appeal for the MICE market while complementing the resort’s leisure offering.
Entertainment Hub at the Heart of the Resort
Connecting the wider resort complex is The Boulevard, an open-air entertainment district designed to resemble a modern town centre rather than a traditional resort promenade.
The area features chef-led restaurants, cocktail bars, nightlife venues, retail outlets, live entertainment, an 820-seat theatre and a casino, allowing guests to experience multiple dining and entertainment concepts within a single integrated resort destination.
Boost for Employment and Tourism
The project has created approximately 700 jobs during its initial opening phase, with employment expected to exceed 1,100 positions once the resort reaches full operating capacity.
Lopesan Caoba Lagoon is also pursuing AAA Four Diamond certification, matching the recognition previously achieved by the nearby Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino.
The latest opening further strengthens Lopesan Hotel Group’s investment in the Dominican Republic, expanding its portfolio with a resort that combines leisure, events, dining and entertainment in one destination.
