Marriott International has expanded its new Series by Marriott™ collection with the conversion of FOUND Hotels Chicago, continuing its partnership with Hawkins Way Capital to bring design-led independent hotels into the Marriott portfolio.
The project builds on an agreement announced in September 2025 to convert multiple FOUND Hotels properties into Series by Marriott hotels. The growing pipeline includes future conversions in San Francisco, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Miami and Santa Monica.
Design Inspired by Chicago
Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, the hotel has been refreshed with interiors inspired by the city’s architecture and industrial heritage.
New design elements include terracotta tones, warm wood finishes, masonry-inspired textures and contemporary furnishings reflecting Chicago’s vibrant urban character. Guestrooms have been updated with refreshed furniture, while public areas have also undergone renovations.
The hotel has introduced Lost & FOUND, a new coffee concept serving guests daily, and will add a 24-hour co-working space, meeting room and upgraded fitness centre later this summer.
Lifestyle Hospitality Meets Marriott Bonvoy
FOUND Hotels was created by Hawkins Way Capital in 2016 with a focus on flexible accommodation, local design and community-driven hospitality.
By joining Series by Marriott, participating hotels retain their individual identity while gaining access to Marriott International’s global distribution platform and Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme.
The Chicago property is managed by FCL Management, a third-party hospitality operator specialising in boutique and branded hotels.
Expansion Across the United States
Marriott said the conversion reflects the continued growth of the Series by Marriott platform, which focuses on distinctive hotels in sought-after urban and leisure destinations.
FOUND Hotels Chicago also benefits from its central location, placing guests within walking distance of many of the city’s major attractions, restaurants, entertainment districts and the lakefront, making it an ideal base for both business and leisure travellers.
