Chapter Chianti has officially opened in the heart of Tuscany, introducing a contemporary hospitality concept that combines design, wellness, local culture and social experiences within a restored 17th-century borgo surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
Located among more than 3,000 olive and cypress trees, the new 82-room retreat reimagines the traditional Tuscan agriturismo with modern interiors, destination dining and immersive activities designed to connect guests with the surrounding Chianti landscape.
Historic Village Reimagined
Designed by South African interior architect Tristan du Plessis, the hotel blends historic architecture with contemporary craftsmanship. Original stone staircases and vaulted ceilings have been preserved alongside handcrafted furniture, locally sourced marble and stone, bespoke lighting, and commissioned artworks by emerging artists.
The property’s rooms, restaurants and communal spaces feature earthy tones, natural materials and modern design elements inspired by the estate’s agricultural heritage.
Dining Inspired by Tuscany
Leading the culinary programme is Chef Daniele Auricchio, whose experience includes Michelin-starred restaurants around the world.
The hotel’s signature restaurant, Osso, celebrates Tuscan meat dishes, regional cheeses and locally sourced ingredients. Guests can also enjoy Mediterranean-inspired dishes at the Parasole Pool Bar and cocktails accompanied by live entertainment at the Main Bar.
A wine list featuring around 120 labels focuses heavily on Tuscan and Chianti producers. In 2027, the hotel will expand its dining options with the arrival of Hey Güey, the Mexican restaurant concept first introduced at Chapter Roma.
Wellness and Outdoor Experiences
Chapter Chianti introduces F.A.R.M Social (Forever A Relaxed Mood), the brand’s first dedicated spa concept. The 500-square-metre wellness centre includes an indoor hydrotherapy circuit, sauna, Turkish steam bath, dry hammam, treatment rooms, a Panatta fitness centre and an outdoor padel court.
Guests can also participate in yoga sessions, personal training and treatments featuring 111SKIN skincare products.
Experiences beyond the spa include horseback riding through vineyards, hot-air balloon flights, guided hikes, e-bike tours, falconry demonstrations, truffle hunting, olive harvesting and Tuscan cooking classes using the property’s restored communal stone oven.
Private Villa Coming in 2027
The hotel will further expand next year with the opening of The Mansion, a five-bedroom private villa featuring its own swimming pool, butler service and private chef while offering full access to the hotel’s facilities.
Additional developments planned for 2027 include an outdoor spa pool and the debut of the Hey Güey restaurant, continuing Chapter Chianti’s vision of combining contemporary luxury with authentic Tuscan experiences.
