Air Algérie Resumes Algiers–Moscow Flights In August

Air Algérie will resume direct flights between Algiers and Moscow on August 3, restoring the route after a seasonal suspension and further strengthening air links between Algeria and Russia.

According to Sheremetyevo Airport’s flight schedule, the Algerian flag carrier will restart services after ending operations on the route on March 30, following the conclusion of the 2025/2026 winter schedule.

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) confirmed it has approved Air Algérie’s application to operate three scheduled flights per week between the two capitals.

Route Returns After Seasonal Suspension

Air Algérie operated the Algiers–Moscow service during the 2025/2026 winter season before temporarily suspending flights for the summer. The route’s return will once again provide direct connectivity for business and leisure travellers, as well as passengers visiting friends and relatives.

Longstanding Aviation Partnership

Russia and Algeria have cooperated in civil aviation for many years. The two countries signed a bilateral air services agreement in 2008, providing the framework for scheduled passenger services between their respective airlines.

The resumption of Air Algérie’s Moscow flights reflects continued demand for direct air services between the two countries and expands travel options during the second half of the year.
