Emirates To Broadcast Every FIFA World Cup 2026 Match Onboard Flights

Emirates has confirmed that passengers will be able to watch every match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup live onboard its flights, allowing football fans to follow the tournament while traveling around the world.

The Dubai-based carrier will offer live broadcasts through its award-winning ice inflight entertainment system, bringing one of the world’s biggest sporting events directly to passengers at cruising altitude.

Live World Cup Coverage Onboard

All matches from the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be available through Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra, the airline’s live sports channels.

Passengers can already experience the quality of the live sports broadcasts through the carrier’s existing inflight television offerings.

The service will allow travelers to watch matches in real time while flying, ensuring they do not miss key moments of the tournament.

Available On Most Emirates Flights

According to Emirates, live television broadcasts are available on the majority of its aircraft fleet.

However, availability may vary depending on the aircraft type and route being operated.

The airline noted that passengers should check onboard services for specific flight details.

Match Schedule Available In Advance

To help football fans plan their journeys around the tournament, Emirates has published the complete World Cup broadcast schedule in the June edition of its ice inflight entertainment magazine.

This will allow passengers to identify which matches will be shown during their flights and organize travel accordingly.

World Cup Action In Dubai Lounges

In addition to onboard broadcasts, selected matches will also be shown in Emirates lounges in Dubai.

This will enable passengers connecting through the airline’s global hub to continue following the tournament before departure or during layovers.

Enhancing The Passenger Experience

The initiative reflects Emirates’ continued investment in inflight entertainment and live sports programming.

As one of the world’s largest international airlines, Emirates regularly broadcasts major sporting events onboard, including football, tennis, Formula One and other global competitions.

With the FIFA World Cup expected to attract billions of viewers worldwide, the airline is positioning itself to give football fans uninterrupted access to the tournament wherever they are flying.
