Nobu and Egyptian real estate developer SODIC have revealed ambitious plans to expand the luxury lifestyle brand across Egypt with a series of hotels, residences and restaurants that will establish the country as one of Nobu’s most important growth markets worldwide.
The announcement was made during a special event at Nobu Hotel London Portman Square attended by Nobu founders Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, alongside Nobu CEO Trevor Horwell and SODIC General Manager Ayman Amer.
Nobu Expands Presence In Egypt
The partnership will introduce three major Nobu lifestyle destinations across Egypt, combining luxury hospitality, branded residences and world-class dining.
The developments are planned for Egypt’s Mediterranean North Coast, New Cairo and New Zayed, creating one of the most significant regional expansions in the brand’s history.
The projects aim to bring Nobu’s signature blend of luxury hospitality, contemporary design and globally recognized dining experiences to key destinations across the country.
Nobu North Coast To Anchor OGAMI Development
The flagship project will be the upcoming Nobu Hotel and Nobu Residences North Coast, located within SODIC’s OGAMI development on Egypt’s Mediterranean coastline.
The project builds on the success of the seasonal Nobu restaurant that opened on the North Coast in 2025, introducing the brand’s culinary and hospitality concepts to the region.
The hotel and residences will create a fully integrated lifestyle destination featuring luxury accommodation, residential living, wellness facilities and dining experiences inspired by Mediterranean living.
Residents and guests will enjoy a lifestyle centered around the sea, outdoor living and Nobu’s globally recognized hospitality standards.
Nobu Arrives In New Cairo
Meanwhile, Nobu New Cairo is set to open this week in the Eastown District New Cairo development.
The restaurant will serve as an introduction to the brand ahead of the planned opening of Nobu Hotel New Cairo in 2027.
The project will further strengthen Nobu’s presence in one of Cairo’s fastest-growing residential and commercial districts.
Luxury Development Planned For West Cairo
A third Nobu Hotel and Residences project is planned for New Zayed in West Cairo.
The development will place guests and residents within close proximity of some of Egypt’s most famous attractions, including the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
The residences will offer an urban interpretation of the Nobu lifestyle, combining contemporary design, hospitality-led services and direct access to the brand’s dining experiences.
Egypt Emerges As Key Luxury Market
The projects arrive as Egypt experiences growing international investment across tourism, hospitality and real estate sectors.
The country’s luxury tourism market has received additional momentum following the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which has further elevated Egypt’s profile among international travelers.
According to Nobu and SODIC, the three developments will help position Egypt as one of the brand’s most important global destinations while responding to increasing demand for premium lifestyle experiences and branded residences.
Together, the projects reflect the growing appeal of Egypt’s North Coast and Cairo as destinations for luxury tourism, investment and modern lifestyle developments.
