Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel has appointed hospitality executive Manish Jha as General Manager, bringing more than two decades of international luxury hospitality experience to the flagship Dubai property operated by Minor Hotels.
The appointment marks a new phase for the hotel as it continues to strengthen its position within Dubai’s luxury hospitality market following extensive renovations and ongoing investment in guest experiences.
Two Decades of International Hospitality Experience
Jha has built an extensive career across several of Minor Hotels’ luxury and lifestyle brands, beginning his journey with Anantara in 2006 as Director of Food and Beverage for Anantara Dhigu, Anantara Veli and Naladhu Maldives.
Since then, he has held senior leadership positions across a number of high-profile properties, including Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort, Avani Seychelles Barbarons Resort & Spa, Anantara Hua Hin Resort and Avani+ Hua Hin Resort.
Most recently, Jha served as General Manager of NH Collection Dubai The Palm, where he oversaw the successful launch of the brand’s first property in the Middle East and delivered strong operational and commercial results.
Focus on Guest Experience and Growth
In his new role, Jha will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, with a focus on elevating guest experiences, strengthening the property’s market position and driving sustainable long-term growth.
“Joining Anantara Downtown Dubai at this stage of its journey is both an honour and an opportunity,” Jha said.
He highlighted the hotel’s recent transformation, including the redesign of its rooms and suites, and said his priority will be enhancing every stage of the guest journey while reinforcing the hotel’s status as a destination in its own right.
Luxury Urban Retreat in Business Bay
Located in Dubai’s Business Bay district, Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel offers convenient access to the city’s major commercial, cultural and leisure attractions.
The property features 252 newly renovated guestrooms and suites inspired by tropical design elements that bring a resort-style atmosphere to the urban setting.
Among the hotel’s standout accommodations is the Anantara Royal Suite with Pool, a 2,529-square-foot luxury retreat featuring floor-to-ceiling skyline views, a private plunge pool, dedicated office space and expansive living areas.
Dining and Wellness Experiences
The hotel has developed a diverse dining portfolio that combines in-house concepts and well-known restaurant brands.
Guests can dine at signature venues including ZIYA, Lobby Lounge and Mood Bar, alongside popular restaurants such as Girl & the Goose, Punjab Grill and Kimura-ya.
Wellness remains a central component of the guest experience through the Anantara Spa, which offers treatments inspired by traditional healing practices combined with modern wellness therapies.
Meetings, Events and Sustainability
Anantara Downtown Dubai has also strengthened its meetings and events offering with nine dedicated function spaces and the Mirage Ballroom located on the hotel’s 26th floor.
The facilities are designed to accommodate everything from executive meetings and conferences to weddings and large-scale social events.
The property continues to align its operations with Minor Hotels’ broader sustainability strategy through initiatives focused on energy efficiency, water conservation, responsible sourcing and community engagement.
Under Jha’s leadership, the hotel aims to further enhance its reputation as one of Dubai’s leading luxury lifestyle destinations while maintaining a strong focus on service excellence, sustainability and innovation.
