Qatar Airways will resume daily nonstop flights between Doha and Philadelphia from 1 August 2026, further strengthening its presence in the United States and expanding its North American network to 14 destinations.
The reinstated service reconnects Pennsylvania’s largest city with Qatar Airways’ global network, offering travellers convenient access to destinations across Africa, Asia and the Middle East via Hamad International Airport in Doha.
Daily Airbus A350 Service Returns
The route will be operated daily using the Airbus A350-900, one of the most modern aircraft in Qatar Airways’ fleet.
Passengers travelling in Business Class will have access to the airline’s award-winning Qsuite product, while onboard connectivity will be enhanced through Starlink high-speed internet.
Qatar Airways currently operates the world’s largest fleet of Starlink-equipped widebody aircraft, with more than 140 aircraft already fitted with the service.
Strengthening US Connectivity
The return of Philadelphia reflects Qatar Airways’ continued commitment to the US market, which has been a major focus of the airline’s long-term international growth strategy.
The route will also improve onward travel opportunities through Qatar Airways’ oneworld alliance partnership with American Airlines, which operates an extensive domestic network from Philadelphia International Airport.
Travellers will benefit from easier connections to destinations across the northeastern United States as well as international services beyond Doha.
Flight Schedule
Qatar Airways will operate the following daily schedule from 1 August 2026:
- QR727: Doha (DOH) 08:00 – Philadelphia (PHL) 15:05
- QR728: Philadelphia (PHL) 21:30 – Doha (DOH) 17:00 (+1 day)
Growing North American Network
Philadelphia becomes the latest addition to Qatar Airways’ expanding North American network, which now includes 14 destinations.
During the summer 2026 season, the airline will serve Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Montreal, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Washington, D.C.
The expansion continues nearly two decades after Qatar Airways launched its first US service to New York in 2007. Since then, the carrier has steadily increased its North American footprint while growing its global network to more than 160 destinations worldwide.
Enhanced Access Through Doha
The resumed Philadelphia service will provide travellers with one-stop access to key destinations across the Gulf region, the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, Africa and Australia through Hamad International Airport, repeatedly recognised as one of the world’s leading airports.
The route is expected to appeal to both business and leisure travellers seeking seamless connections and premium long-haul travel options between the United States and Qatar Airways’ global network.
