SWISS is preparing to resume flights to Tel Aviv from July 1, 2026, while extending the suspension of its Dubai and Beirut services as the airline continues adjusting operations in response to ongoing instability in the Middle East.
The airline confirmed that preparations are already underway to restore the Tel Aviv route, including aircraft scheduling, crew planning and operational coordination.
The decision comes as several airlines within the Lufthansa Group move toward gradually rebuilding connections to Israel following months of disruption across the region.
Tel Aviv Flights Expected To Return In July
According to SWISS, flights between Zurich and Tel Aviv are scheduled to restart from July 1, provided operational conditions remain stable.
The airline said it is currently working through the necessary preparations required to relaunch the route, including discussions with employee representatives and internal operational planning.
The planned return marks an important step in reconnecting Switzerland with one of the region’s key business and tourism markets after prolonged interruptions.
Dubai And Beirut Suspensions Continue
While Tel Aviv flights are set to resume, SWISS is extending the suspension of its Dubai services until at least September 13, 2026.
Flights to Beirut will remain suspended for an even longer period, with services paused until October 24, 2026.
The airline described the continued suspensions as operationally necessary while monitoring regional developments and maintaining close coordination with authorities and Lufthansa Group partners.
Passengers affected by cancellations can either rebook for a later travel date without additional charges or request a full refund.
India Demand Drives Additional Flights
As capacity originally allocated for Dubai remains unused, SWISS is redirecting aircraft toward markets currently experiencing stronger demand.
The airline confirmed it will continue operating an expanded flight schedule between Zurich and Delhi until at least September 13, 2026.
In addition to its regular daily service, SWISS will maintain a second daily flight to the Indian capital using an Airbus A330 aircraft.
The carrier said travel demand between Europe and India has increased significantly in recent months, particularly among both business and leisure travellers.
Middle East Travel Patterns Continue To Shift
Airlines across Europe and the Gulf continue adjusting schedules and route networks as geopolitical tensions reshape travel demand and operational planning throughout the region.
For many international carriers, flexibility has become increasingly important as passenger flows rapidly shift between destinations depending on security conditions and regional demand trends.
SWISS said it will continue closely monitoring developments in the Middle East while coordinating with Swiss authorities and aviation partners before making further operational decisions.
For travellers planning journeys across the region later this year, the latest changes highlight how airline schedules remain closely tied to geopolitical stability and evolving passenger demand.
