Kinsfolk & Co Launches First Hotel with Wellness-Led Debut in London’s Fitzrovia

International hospitality management company Kinsfolk & Co has officially launched its first hotel, The Newman, marking a significant milestone for the brand less than two years after its founding by Paul Brackley.

Located in Fitzrovia, the 81-room hotel positions itself at the intersection of design-led hospitality and wellbeing-focused travel. Guest rooms and suites have been conceived by Pernille Lind and Richy Almond of Lind + Almond, with interiors drawing on a contemporary interpretation of Art Deco. Select rooms feature private balconies, while the rooftop level is anchored by a signature suite with its own terrace. When taken in its entirety, the floor can also be reserved as an expansive four-bedroom private suite.

Food and drink at The Newman centres on The Brasserie Angelica, an all-day restaurant designed to appeal equally to hotel guests and local residents. Below ground, Gambit Bar offers a more intimate, subterranean setting, adding a nightlife dimension to the property without straying into overt destination-bar territory.

Wellness is a defining pillar of the hotel. A dedicated floor brings together facilities rarely seen collectively in a central London boutique property, including a medical-grade halotherapy room, an Ice Lounge, Finnish sauna and steam room designed for contrast therapy rituals, multi-sensory experience showers and a hydrotherapy plunge pool. Spa partnerships include skincare brand Nuori, making its first appearance in a London hotel, alongside Moss of the Isles and CBD specialist Kloris.

Beyond bricks and mortar, The Newman has already been positioned as a social-impact project. In partnership with Saira Hospitality, the hotel hosted what was described as the first pop-up hospitality school inside an unopened hotel. Running during summer 2025, the programme supported individuals from the local community facing barriers to employment, equipping them with practical skills and industry knowledge. Graduates from the initiative were subsequently recruited into The Newman’s operational team.

Brackley has previously indicated that momentum will continue quickly. Speaking to Boutique Hotelier, he confirmed plans for a second London property in Westminster, located roughly between Westminster Abbey and Westminster Cathedral. Looking further ahead, Kinsfolk & Co aims to open five hotels over the next five years, with ambitions extending well beyond the UK.

The company has already advised on a property in Malta and is actively exploring opportunities in New York and across the Mediterranean, signalling that The Newman is intended not as a one-off statement, but as the foundation for an internationally scaled hospitality platform.
