Oetker Collection is set to open its first property in the United States with the launch of The Vineta Hotel in Palm Beach, scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
The long-anticipated opening follows several years of delays. The project is now nearing completion and will finally debut early next year, marking a significant expansion for the German family-owned hospitality group.
Oetker Collection has once again partnered with Reuben Brothers on the development. The two companies previously collaborated on the opening of Hotel La Palma last summer, continuing a growing partnership on high-end hospitality projects.
The Vineta Hotel occupies the former Chesterfield Hotel, which is undergoing a complete restoration. The redesign includes interiors by internationally acclaimed designer Tino Zervudachi. As part of the transformation, the hotel’s room count has been reduced from 57 to 41 rooms, a move Oetker Collection says will create a more spacious and refined guest experience.
Food and beverage will play a central role in the hotel’s positioning. The property will feature four distinct dining concepts, including the revival of the former Leopard Lounge. The signature restaurant, Coco’s, will be led by executive chef Sebastian Broda. The restaurant’s menu has been developed in collaboration with pastry chef Tarek of Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, a sister property within the collection.
Coco’s will combine newly created dishes inspired by Palm Beach with guest favourites from the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc’s restaurants, including Eden Roc Grill, Louroc, Giovanni’s and Les Cabanes. Additional offerings include an intimate courtyard for alfresco dining and a highly exclusive American Bar with only a limited number of seats.
The hotel is located just two blocks from Worth Avenue, known for its luxury boutiques, restaurants and galleries, and is within close proximity to the beach.
Commenting previously on the project, Oetker Collection chief executive officer Timo Gruenert described the opening as a landmark moment for the brand. He said the group was looking forward to extending its hospitality ethos, rooted in family spirit, elegance and genuine kindness, to a destination long favoured by its international clientele.
The Vineta Hotel will become Oetker Collection’s 12th Masterpiece Hotel worldwide, joining an existing portfolio that includes Le Bristol, The Woodward and Eden Rock – St Barths, further cementing the group’s global presence in the ultra-luxury hospitality sector.
