Luxury lifestyle brand Nobu Hotels is set to make its debut in Egypt, with the opening of its first property in early 2027. The project is being developed by SODIC, one of Egypt’s leading real estate developers, in collaboration with the renowned Rockwell Group architectural studio. The new hotel will be located in the upscale Eastown district of New Cairo.
The 6,385-square-metre Nobu Hotel will feature over 50 rooms and suites, complemented by a spa, fitness center, and multi-purpose event spaces designed for both business and leisure travelers.
The hotel’s interiors will merge Japanese minimalism with the grandeur of Egyptian civilization, incorporating limestone, natural wood, geometric patterns, and gold accents throughout its design. This refined aesthetic reflects Nobu’s signature style while embracing the cultural richness of its new location.
A key highlight of the development is the 2,200-square-metre Nobu Restaurant, designed to accommodate up to 300 guests. The venue will feature a dramatic entrance made of carved stone, adorned with greenery and bonsai trees. Inside, the two-level space will include a sushi bar, a private dining area, an event venue, and a cigar lounge on the upper floor. The restaurant is expected to open later this year, ahead of the hotel’s official debut.
Looking beyond New Cairo, Nobu Hotels plans to expand its presence in Egypt further, with upcoming projects in Ras El Hekma’s Ogami district and The Estates Residences in New Zayed.
