Turkish Airlines has announced the launch of a new route connecting Istanbul with Timișoara, Romania, effective April 2026. The service will operate five times per week using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with tickets already available for booking.
With the addition of Timișoara, Turkish Airlines will now serve four destinations in Romania – Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, and Timișoara. The new route will further enhance air connectivity between Romania and Turkey, offering travelers from western Romania convenient access to Turkish Airlines’ global network of more than 350 destinations.
Thanks to Istanbul’s strategic position as a global hub, passengers from Timișoara will benefit from seamless connections to major business centers and popular leisure destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
The new route underscores Turkish Airlines’ continued commitment to the Romanian market. By strengthening links between the two countries, the airline aims to support Romania’s business community, travel industry, and international connectivity.
Through this expansion, Turkish Airlines continues to respond to the evolving needs of its passengers while creating new opportunities for business travelers, tourists, and local communities.
