Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has officially reintroduced Business Class on its European network, responding to strong demand from travelers seeking a more premium experience on regional flights.
According to SAS, booking figures show a highly positive response, confirming that customers have been waiting for a clearly defined premium product on European routes.
The relaunch is part of SAS’ wider premium strategy, which includes an expansion of lounge access across Scandinavia and Europe. Starting October 1, the airline will add around 35 new lounges, ensuring that Business Class passengers enjoy a seamless premium journey both in the air and on the ground.
“The strong early interest shows that our premium strategy resonates with customers,” said Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SAS. “With the reintroduction of European Business Class, we are delivering the premium experience expected of a full-service European airline, backed by our focus on operational excellence and on-time performance.”
SAS European Business Class will feature:
Premium dining served with glass and porcelain tableware
A dedicated front-cabin section
Blocked middle seats for extra comfort and privacy
Priority check-in and boarding services
Access to around 60 lounges across Scandinavia and Europe
The new offering is available on all international European flights, including routes within Scandinavia, positioning SAS to better compete with full-service European carriers.
