Wizz Air has announced its early return to Tel Aviv, bringing forward its resumed service by over a month. Originally scheduled to restart flights on September 15, the airline will now reconnect Israel with Europe beginning August 8, 2025.
As airspace and travel routes reopen in the region, Wizz Air is making a bold statement by reactivating key routes ahead of schedule. Flights are already available for booking on wizzair.com and the WIZZ app, with fares starting from just €59.99 (₪169), sparking a surge in demand among eager travelers.
The airline is restoring routes linking Tel Aviv to major European and Middle Eastern hubs including Budapest, Larnaca, Milan, Rome, London, Vienna, Bucharest, Iasi, Sofia, and Abu Dhabi. In total, Wizz Air will operate 24 routes from Tel Aviv to 11 countries, with 10 of these resuming in August and the remainder following on September 15.
The early return reaffirms Wizz Air’s ambition to reclaim its position as the largest European foreign airline serving Israel in terms of capacity. With this announcement, the airline is releasing over 31,000 Tel Aviv-bound seats into the market, positioning itself as a key player in the country’s post-crisis air travel recovery.
The move reflects Wizz Air’s wider strategic goals. In 2025, the airline will operate more than 830 routes across nearly 190 destinations in 51 countries and aims to transport 75 million passengers globally. With its growing network and fleet of new-generation, fuel-efficient aircraft, Wizz Air continues to drive its mission of making air travel affordable, accessible, and environmentally responsible.
As Tel Aviv reopens to international traffic, Wizz Air’s accelerated comeback offers a major boost to connectivity in the region—signaling optimism, opportunity, and renewed mobility for both Israeli passengers and tourists across Europe.
