Iran’s ATA Airlines Launches Charter Flights from Tehran to Moscow

Starting August 22, Iranian airline ATA Airlines has begun operating charter flights from Tehran to Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport. The service currently runs once a week using Airbus A320 aircraft, with plans to increase the frequency of Moscow flights in the future.

According to a statement from Vnukovo Airport, the new Tehran-Moscow route is part of ATA Airlines’ broader strategy to expand its international network. The airline, which has its main hubs in Tehran and Tabriz, operates both regular and charter flights on domestic and international routes.

ATA Airlines’ fleet consists of a variety of aircraft, including Airbus A320, Boeing 737-300/500, Embraer 135/145, and McDonnell MD-80/90, allowing the airline to serve a wide range of destinations with flexibility. The introduction of this new route is expected to boost travel and business connections between Iran and Russia.
