Westin Gold Coast Hotel to Open in 2029 Under La Vie Hotels & Resorts

La Vie Hotels & Resorts has been appointed to manage the future Westin Gold Coast Hotel, marking another milestone in the company’s expansion across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

The new hotel will be developed by Australian property developer M Property under a franchise agreement with Marriott International. Scheduled to open in late 2029, the project is expected to introduce the Westin Hotels & Resorts brand to Queensland’s Gold Coast for the first time.

Westin Brand Set to Debut on the Gold Coast

The new-build hotel will feature 138 guestrooms, including 115 premium rooms and 23 suites. Occupying levels six to 25 of a mixed-use development, the property will offer views of the Pacific Ocean and the Gold Coast hinterland.

The hotel will provide guests with convenient access to the city’s beaches, entertainment precincts, and public transport connections, making it suitable for both leisure and business travelers.

Wellness-Focused Guest Experience

As part of the Westin Hotels & Resorts portfolio, the property will emphasize the brand’s signature wellness philosophy, centered around its Eat Well, Sleep Well, and Move Well pillars.

Planned facilities include a signature restaurant and bar, conference and meeting spaces, an infinity pool with pool bar, the WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio, Heavenly Spa by Westin, and dedicated guest parking.

Expanding Marriott’s Presence in Queensland

Marriott International currently operates two resorts on the Gold Coast and has four additional properties in its regional development pipeline.

The arrival of Westin is expected to strengthen Marriott’s presence in one of Australia’s leading leisure destinations, known for its beaches, outdoor lifestyle, and year-round tourism appeal.

La Vie Strengthens Hotel Management Portfolio

The appointment further expands La Vie Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio of managed properties across the Asia-Pacific region.

According to the company, the project reflects growing confidence in its independent hotel management platform and its ability to deliver premium hospitality experiences in partnership with international hotel brands.

M Property said the development aligns with its long-term vision of enhancing the Gold Coast’s position as a world-class hospitality destination, while Marriott believes the wellness-focused Westin brand is a strong fit for the market’s domestic and international visitor base.

When it opens in 2029, The Westin Gold Coast is expected to bring Marriott’s globally recognized wellness-focused hospitality concept to one of Australia’s most popular coastal destinations.
