Delta Marine has unveiled a new family of hybrid superyacht concepts developed in collaboration with London-based Bannenberg & Rowell Design, introducing a series of vessels ranging from 50 to 75 metres in length.
The new collection combines contemporary exterior styling with diesel-electric hybrid propulsion and has been designed to offer a flexible platform that can be adapted across multiple yacht sizes.
New Delta + B&R 500 Leads the Series
The first concept in the partnership is the Delta + B&R 500, a 50-metre yacht built on a platform below 500 gross tonnes. A larger 65-metre version is already under development, with the design intended to scale across the entire 50 to 75-metre range.
According to Delta Marine, the collaboration aims to create yachts that remain true to the Seattle shipyard’s heritage while introducing a more contemporary design language suited to the next generation of owners.
Sculptural Exterior Design
Bannenberg & Rowell Design has given the yacht a distinctive sculptural profile defined by intersecting hull creases that form a subtle triangular motif inspired by the mathematical delta symbol.
The styling continues through angular canopies, sculpted aft bulwarks and reverse-angled windows, creating a dynamic appearance intended to convey movement, precision and strength.
The sub-500 GT platform prioritises generous outdoor living areas over maximum interior volume. Large exterior decks have been designed as natural extensions of the indoor spaces, providing expansive lounge and entertainment areas for owners and guests.
Hybrid Propulsion System
Every yacht in the new series will feature a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system using podded drive units and integrated energy storage technology.
The system combines conventional diesel generators with electric propulsion to improve operational flexibility while reducing fuel consumption and emissions. Delta Marine says the hybrid arrangement maintains the long-range capability, performance and reliability expected from a world-class superyacht.
Designed for Modern Owners
The yachts have been developed to meet evolving owner expectations, balancing striking exterior styling with practical features for long-range cruising, watersports and onboard entertainment.
Simon Rowell of Bannenberg & Rowell Design said the objective was to create a yacht that remains unmistakably Delta while introducing a stronger sense of dynamism and physical presence.
Michelle Jones of Delta Marine added that the collaboration reflects the shipyard’s long-term strategy of embracing international design partnerships while continuing its focus on engineering excellence and innovation.
