Marriott Debuts Autograph Collection in India With Noormahal Palace Hotel

Marriott International has officially introduced its Autograph Collection brand in India, with the addition of the Noormahal, Delhi NCR Karnal, Autograph Collection, marking a significant expansion in the country’s luxury hospitality market.

Located along the historic Grand Trunk Road in Karnal, approximately 75 miles north of New Delhi, the 176-room property blends heritage architecture with modern luxury, positioning itself as both a destination hotel and a major events venue.

The palatial property stands out for its elaborate design, drawing inspiration from Mughal, Rajput, Punjabi and Persian influences. Its grand façade features domes, intricate jali work and ornamental arches, while interiors incorporate layered textures, artisanal finishes and expansive layouts that balance tradition with contemporary comfort.

Guestrooms and suites are designed as private retreats, featuring rich textiles and bespoke furnishings. Signature accommodations such as the Raja Niwas and Khwabgah penthouses offer elevated experiences, including private terraces, curated interiors and dedicated butler service.

Dining is a central part of the hotel’s identity, with four distinct venues. The Frontier Mail restaurant pays homage to the historic rail route connecting Peshawar and Mumbai, with interiors styled like a vintage train carriage and a menu reflecting regional cuisines. Other options include Colonel Saab for all-day dining, the Polo Bar inspired by equestrian culture and The Cake Factory, which focuses on handcrafted desserts.

Beyond accommodation and dining, the hotel offers an extensive range of leisure and wellness facilities, including a spa, swimming pool and sports amenities such as tennis, pickleball, ziplining and rock climbing.

The property is also positioned as a major events destination, with approximately 300,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, including landscaped lawns that make it particularly popular for weddings and large-scale celebrations.

The addition of Noormahal to the Autograph Collection signals Marriott’s continued investment in India’s luxury and experiential travel segment, where demand for culturally immersive, design-led properties continues to grow.
