Air India Express Restores Full West Asia Flight Network

Air India Express has fully restored flight operations across its West Asia network, resuming services to all destinations that had been temporarily affected by heightened regional tensions.

The airline announced that flights between Kozhikode and Salalah resumed on July 2, while services connecting Kozhikode and Kuwait will restart on July 3. Flights between Mangaluru and Muscat will also resume on July 3, restoring connectivity to key destinations in Oman and Kuwait.

In addition, Air India Express will reinstate its Bengaluru–Kuwait route with a weekly service beginning July 4. The carrier said frequencies on its Kuwait services are expected to increase progressively in the coming days as demand recovers.

The restoration follows an improvement in the security situation across parts of West Asia, allowing airlines to gradually normalize operations after recent disruptions caused by regional instability. Air India Express said the latest resumptions complete the restoration of its entire West Asia network.

West Asia remains one of Air India Express’ most important international markets. The airline currently serves 13 destinations across the region, providing vital connectivity for business travelers, tourists, and the large Indian expatriate community living in Gulf countries.

The resumed operations come as airlines across the region continue to restore schedules following the easing of geopolitical tensions and the reopening of affected airspace. Carriers are gradually rebuilding capacity while monitoring operational conditions and passenger demand.

By restoring flights to Kuwait, Muscat, and Salalah, Air India Express strengthens travel links between southern India and the Gulf, reconnecting several high-demand routes that are important for both leisure and labor travel.
