Orient Express Yacht To Host Luxury Ocean Wellness Retreat With Guerlain

Orient Express Sailing Yachts and French beauty house Guerlain have unveiled a new luxury wellness retreat aboard the recently launched Orient Express Corinthian, combining high-end spa treatments, longevity-focused wellbeing programmes and transatlantic travel.

The fourteen-day retreat, named “Ocean Rebirth,” will take place during the yacht’s Atlantic crossing between Lisbon and Barbados in October.

Luxury Wellness Voyage Across The Atlantic

The Ocean Rebirth retreat is scheduled to run from 12 to 26 October during Orient Express Corinthian’s transatlantic journey from Portugal to the Caribbean.

The programme has been developed in collaboration with Guerlain and is centred around four wellbeing pillars: nutrition, movement, mindfulness and sleep.

Guests will receive personalised wellness assessments designed to create tailored programmes focused on skincare, preventative health and long-term lifestyle balance.

Five Wellness Experts To Guide Guests

Five international wellness specialists will accompany passengers throughout the voyage, leading treatments, workshops and guided sessions.

Guerlain International spa aesthetic creation director Amélie Demange will host bespoke holistic ritual masterclasses incorporating sound baths and crystal bowls.

Freediving champion and mental training specialist Arthur Guérin-Boëri will lead breathing exercises and resilience-focused sessions inspired by professional diving techniques.

Nutrition expert and naturopath Déborah Passuti will provide nutritional assessments and collaborate with onboard chefs to create personalised menus for guests.

Former ballerina Julie Granger will oversee movement sessions combining yoga, Pilates, dance and functional fitness training.

Deep tissue massage specialist Slav Marinov will offer targeted recovery treatments aimed at mobility and tension relief.

Advanced Spa Technology Onboard

The retreat will take place within the yacht’s 500-square-metre Guerlain Spa, which includes four treatment rooms, saunas, relaxation spaces, a barber studio and a beauty salon.

Treatments will incorporate Guerlain’s LongeviSkin technology using LED, plasma and radiofrequency therapies.

Additional wellness technology onboard includes Theragun recovery devices, LED masks, pressotherapy systems and Technogym Check-up health assessments.

Orient Express Expands Into Luxury Yachting

Orient Express Corinthian is part of the luxury travel brand’s wider expansion into hospitality and ultra-luxury cruising.

The 220-metre sailing yacht recently completed its naming ceremony ahead of its inaugural Mediterranean season on the French Riviera.

The vessel is the first cruise ship equipped with the SolidSail wind propulsion system, using three rotating rigs designed to improve sailing efficiency based on wind direction.

The yacht features 54 suites spread across four decks, alongside five restaurants, eight bars, a cabaret venue, a fitness centre and a large swimming pool.

Orient Express is part of Accor Group’s luxury hospitality portfolio, while luxury conglomerate LVMH entered into a strategic partnership with the brand in 2024 to support its expansion.
