Poland’s largest private airline, Enter Air, has announced plans to acquire a controlling stake in Polish tour operator Nekera.
According to information published on the website of Poland’s competition and consumer protection authority UOKiK, the proposed transaction would see Enter Air purchase 85% of Nekera’s share capital.
The move would give the airline sole control over the travel company as Enter Air continues expanding beyond its core charter flight operations.
Enter Air Expands Tourism Sector Presence
Enter Air is one of Poland’s leading charter airlines and specialises in providing leisure and holiday flight services.
The carrier operates as part of the wider Enter Air Group and works extensively with tour operators across Europe.
The planned acquisition signals a strategic move to strengthen the company’s position within the broader tourism market.
Nekera Focuses On Package Holidays
Nekera operates as an independent Polish tour operator specialising in the organisation and sale of travel packages.
The company’s offerings primarily include holiday packages combining air transport and accommodation services.
The acquisition would allow Enter Air to expand its direct involvement in the travel package sector while potentially strengthening integration between airline and tourism operations.
Deal Subject To Regulatory Review
The proposed transaction has been formally notified to Poland’s anti-trust and consumer protection regulator as part of the approval process.
Further details regarding the timeline or financial terms of the acquisition have not yet been disclosed.
The move reflects broader consolidation trends within Europe’s leisure travel sector as airlines and tour operators increasingly seek closer operational partnerships and vertical integration.
