Cameron House, the five-star luxury resort located on the banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland, has been sold to London-based investment firm The Victory Group in a deal believed to be worth around £100 million.
The acquisition marks The Victory Group’s entry into the Scottish hospitality market as it continues expanding its portfolio of luxury assets across Western Europe.
Victory Group Expands Luxury Hospitality Portfolio
The investment company confirmed the purchase after reports of the transaction emerged last week.
The Victory Group already owns several high-end hospitality properties, including the Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva, the largest five-star hotel in Switzerland.
The company also entered the UK market in May 2025 through the acquisition of the mixed-use property at 103-105 Jermyn Street in London.
Founder Erik Moresco described Cameron House as a unique luxury destination combining “breathtaking beauty, heritage and luxury.”
“We are excited to be entering the Scottish market and continue to see the UK as a compelling environment for long-term investment,” he said.
One Of Scotland’s Largest Hotel Transactions
The sale makes Cameron House only the third hotel property in Scotland to sell for more than £100 million.
The Gleneagles resort in Perth & Kinross sold for £140 million in 2015, while W Hotel Edinburgh changed ownership for £100 million in 2025.
Located within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, Cameron House includes 208 bedrooms and 28 suites, alongside restaurants, bars, a luxury spa, marina and two golf courses.
The resort’s golf offering includes The Carrick, its 18-hole championship course overlooking Loch Lomond.
Luxury Lodges And Expansion Added To Resort
The wider Cameron House estate also includes Cameron Lodges, featuring 115 self-catering lodges, cottages and apartments available for rental or private ownership.
Previous owner KSL Capital Partners acquired the resort in 2015 from Q Hotels in a reported £70 million transaction.
The property later underwent extensive restoration following a fatal fire in 2017 that caused major damage to the hotel and resulted in the deaths of two guests.
Resort Reopened Following Multi-Million Pound Restoration
Cameron House later pleaded guilty to breaches of the Fire Scotland Act after investigators found a night porter had placed a bag containing ash and embers into a cupboard storing combustible materials.
The resort reopened in late 2021 after a multi-million pound redevelopment project.
The restoration included the addition of the Lomond Wing extension, bringing 68 new luxury bedrooms and suites, a 700-square-metre ballroom and a loch-facing terrace.
KSL Capital Partners continues to maintain a presence in the hospitality sector through ownership of Home Grown Hotels, parent company of boutique hotel brand The Pig.
