Positioned along the coastline of Coogee Beach, the reimagined hotel introduces a series of high-end lifestyle features – including an ocean-facing infinity pool, an exclusive Club InterContinental lounge, and even pickleball courts – as it redefines what a modern coastal escape looks like in Sydney.
The highly anticipated Èliva Spa is set to open in early May, completing a project that signals a broader global evolution for IHG Hotels & Resorts and its flagship luxury brand.

The transformation spans 198 redesigned guestrooms and suites, many flooded with natural light and offering uninterrupted ocean views. Designed by Woods Bagot, the interiors introduce a softer, more contemporary interpretation of coastal luxury – balancing refined materials with relaxed, beachside sensibilities.
At the heart of the redesign is a new elevated pool deck overlooking the Pacific. The infinity-edge pool, heated year-round, is surrounded by private cabanas, sun loungers and layered greenery that creates both openness and intimacy.

A key highlight is the introduction of Club InterContinental – a more private, tailored experience within the hotel. Designed as a sanctuary of understated sophistication, the lounge blends sun-washed tones, organic textures and subtle nautical influences.
