Hyatt and Airelles Hotels to Feature in The White Lotus Season 4

The upcoming fourth season of The White Lotus is set to mark a major shift in the show’s long-standing hotel partnerships, with luxury properties from Hyatt and Airelles now taking center stage.

According to recent industry reports, filming for Season 4 will take place on the French Riviera, using two high-profile hotels as key locations: the Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, part of Hyatt’s portfolio, and the Château de la Messardière in Saint-Tropez, operated by Airelles.

This marks the first time the HBO series has moved away from its previous exclusive association with Four Seasons resorts, which hosted earlier seasons in Hawaii, Sicily and Thailand.

The new season is expected to unfold against the backdrop of the Cannes Film Festival, blending the show’s signature themes of wealth, power and dysfunction with the glamour of the global film industry.

For both hotel groups, the exposure represents a major opportunity. Previous seasons of The White Lotus generated what industry insiders call the “White Lotus effect,” driving surges in bookings, global visibility and pricing power for featured resorts.

However, analysts suggest the impact may play out differently this time. Unlike earlier filming locations, destinations such as Cannes and Saint-Tropez are already among the most exclusive and supply-constrained luxury markets in Europe. As a result, the show’s influence could be reflected more in rising room rates than increased occupancy.

The Château de la Messardière, a 19th-century palace-turned-hotel, exemplifies the ultra-luxury positioning of the new season. The property features high-end amenities including Michelin-level dining, expansive spa facilities and panoramic views over the Mediterranean.

Meanwhile, Hôtel Martinez brings Art Deco glamour and a strong association with Cannes’ celebrity culture, reinforcing the show’s shift toward a more high-profile, entertainment-driven setting.

Production is expected to begin in 2026, with a potential release in 2027. As anticipation builds, Season 4 is already shaping up to be one of the most commercially influential installments yet – not just for television, but for the global luxury travel industry.
