Nômade Hotels is preparing to make its European debut with the opening of Nômade Temple Madrid in late March 2026, unveiling an urban sanctuary designed to merge historic architecture, bohemian wellness and the magnetic energy of Madrid nightlife.
Set within a restored 20th-century landmark on Gran Vía, the 93-room hotel positions itself as a “living temple” rather than a conventional luxury property. The concept draws on the brand’s roots in Tulum and Holbox, reinterpreted through Madrid’s rhythm and social intensity. Historic stone walls and expressive interiors frame a space intended for both worldly travellers and local Madrileños seeking pause, connection and subtle renewal.
Accommodation is conceived as a grounding retreat from the city outside. Rooms balance the building’s historicist structure with tactile layers of aged brass, natural stone and nuanced ceramics, softened by light-filled layouts and expressive bohemian warmth. The aim is restoration without withdrawal, encouraging guests to shed routine while remaining immersed in Gran Vía’s pulse.
Wellness forms a central pillar of the experience. Below ground, the GÖN House of Healing introduces a calm, contemplative realm with hammam, sauna, steam, cryotherapy and private treatment cabins. Modern therapies are paired with ancestral practices in a restrained palette of light stucco and natural textures, positioning balance as an act of quiet recalibration rather than performance. Adjacent, a naturally lit gym supports both individual training and movement-based practices.
Cultural exchange is embedded into the hotel’s daily life. Monopol, a 300-square-metre flexible space, is designed to host performances, installations and artist residencies, blurring boundaries between hospitality and contemporary culture. By day, social rituals unfold at Café & Almacén, a wood-and-ceramics space inspired by traditional Spanish almacenes, seating 27 guests for tapas-led, unhurried encounters.
Food and nightlife anchor the hotel’s outward-facing identity. The Main Restaurant centres on a fire-driven open kitchen seating 112, with a culinary narrative that bridges Italy, Uruguay and Madrid’s bold flavours in a setting of natural stone and eclectic furnishings. Above, the Rooftop Bar and Pool serves Eastern Mediterranean small plates, dips, sharing jars and signature cocktails, framed by handcrafted fabrics and warm hues, and offering one of Gran Vía’s most compelling skyline views.
As evening falls, The Pulse speakeasy channels Madrid’s legendary nocturnal spirit. Vinyl-led listening sessions ease the transition from day to night before the space evolves into live rhythm and dancing. During daylight hours, it doubles as a flexible co-working environment, reinforcing the hotel’s fluid approach to space and time.
Conceived by Nomade People, whose PEOPLE, GATES and STATES framework spans operations and cultural programming, Nômade Temple Madrid is positioned as both a social hub and a private membership club. With rooms starting at €417 per night and future plans already pointing toward Ibiza, the opening signals Nômade’s intention to root its philosophy of movement, discovery and human transformation firmly within Europe, beginning in the very heart of Madrid.
