Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has unveiled its latest design collaboration — the Pantone Celadon Suite at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London — created with Paris-based design collective Uchronia and the Pantone Color Institute™. The Suite offers an immersive exploration of Mandarin Oriental Celadon Green, the brand’s new signature colour introduced earlier this year, and will debut in time for Frieze London, the city’s leading art fair.
Known for crafting spaces that blend emotion, art and design, Uchronia has reimagined the essence of Celadon Green through a lens of modern craftsmanship. Inside the suite, colour-drenched linens, sculptural ceramics and bespoke furnishings meet tactile textures and playful forms. The result is a space that feels both serene and energising — a physical interpretation of Mandarin Oriental’s evolving design philosophy, rooted in heritage yet confidently contemporary.
Julien Sebban, founder of Uchronia, describes the project as “a space that evolves with the guest’s mood — playful in one moment, tranquil in the next.” He adds that the collaboration with Mandarin Oriental and Pantone was an opportunity “to explore the poetry of colour as an immersive form of design.”
The Pantone Celadon Suite experience extends beyond its interiors. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has introduced a new treatment inspired by Celadonite, a mineral celebrated for its restorative energy. The bespoke one-hour ritual aims to mirror the balancing, rejuvenating qualities of the colour itself, offering guests a holistic moment of renewal.
Alex Schellenberger, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, said the project “embodies the creative versatility and timeless elegance of Mandarin Oriental Celadon Green,” describing it as a bold step in the brand’s evolution that bridges tradition with contemporary artistry.
The suite, priced from £3,000 per night for two guests, includes a curated collection of experiences tied to the Celadon theme: breakfast overlooking Hyde Park, a Matcha ‘Celadon Green’ Tea Ritual, bespoke cocktails at Mandarin Bar, and a limited-edition Sunspel T-shirt distinguished by a single Celadon stitch. Guests also receive Celadon-inspired pastries from the hotel’s award-winning pastry chef and a bottle of champagne to enjoy in their suite.
The Pantone Celadon Suite will welcome guests from mid-October, coinciding with London’s autumn art season. An open day will be held on 15 October from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering design enthusiasts and fans of the brand a first look at the collaboration. The unveiling marks the next chapter in Mandarin Oriental’s global Celadon Green journey, with further creative projects set to roll out across its hotels through 2026.
