Airbnb has unveiled a new exclusive Experience in the UNESCO-listed Dolomites, led by Stefano Ghisolfi, one of Italy’s most celebrated climbers on the international stage.

A group of ten guests will set off from Cortina d’Ampezzo – the beating heart of the upcoming Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games – before reaching the legendary Cinque Torri peaks. Under Ghisolfi’s guidance, both beginners and more experienced climbers will have the chance to learn the fundamentals of rock climbing or refine their skills on natural walls that have shaped the history of mountaineering.

The experience blends technical training, practical demonstrations, and personal moments with Ghisolfi, who will also share anecdotes from his career at the highest levels of the sport. Between climbs, participants will gain a deeper understanding of his philosophy of climbing as not only a discipline, but also a passion and way of life.

The launch comes at a time of growing demand for slow travel and authentic outdoor adventures. According to a YouGov survey, over 11 million Italians prefer slower, nature-based tourism, with one in two travelers seeking authentic experiences in rural destinations. This trend aligns with Airbnb’s wider mission of supporting local and international partnerships to promote responsible tourism in regions set to host the Olympic Games.
