After their successful collaboration at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2024, Airbnb and Art Basel have announced a landmark multi-year partnership. The collaboration will span Art Basel’s flagship shows in Paris, Miami Beach, and Basel, combining cultural discovery with travel experiences and offering art lovers immersive ways to engage with the art world.
As part of the initiative, Airbnb is launching the “Airbnb Arts Travel Grant,” dedicating $1.2 million to support emerging artists and galleries. Recipients will be nominated by each fair’s director, with the goal of championing new voices, ambitious projects, and first-time exhibitors that bring fresh perspectives to contemporary art.
“This partnership is about creating meaningful connections, supporting emerging talent, and making art accessible to all,” said Clément Eulry, Airbnb Country Manager for France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. “We’re excited to bring this to life at Art Basel Paris this October, offering audiences a new way to experience both the fair and the city.”
Vincenzo de Bellis, Chief Artistic Officer & Global Director of Art Basel Fairs, added: “Airbnb’s commitment to creating meaningful cultural and travel experiences resonates with our mission to connect artists, galleries, and institutions with a wider community. Together, we can support emerging talent while offering audiences fresh cultural encounters.”
Art experiences at Art Basel Paris 2025
To mark the partnership, Airbnb and Art Basel will curate exclusive Art Experiences at this year’s Paris fair. Among the highlights:
Oh La La! Curated Gallery Tour with Loïc Prigent – The acclaimed fashion documentarian will lead a private tour of select galleries featured in the fair’s Oh La La! initiative, offering insider perspectives, VIP lounge access, and time with gallerists.
Bilal Hamdad at the Petit Palais – Paris-based painter Bilal Hamdad, known for his large-scale, urban-inspired oil works, will host an intimate tour of Paname, his debut solo museum exhibition. Guests will conclude the visit with a private conversation over refreshments.
The partnership also responds to rising demand for accommodations around Art Basel events. Last year, Art Basel Paris drew more than 65,000 visitors, with Airbnb recording a 20 percent rise in guest arrivals during the fair weekend alone. By aligning with the fair, Airbnb aims to help meet the demand while highlighting its network of art-filled homes worldwide.
With this multi-year agreement, Airbnb and Art Basel are positioning travel and contemporary art as complementary worlds — where cultural encounters extend beyond the exhibition halls and into the places people stay, meet, and connect.
