Russian airline Aeroflot has launched a dedicated check-in desk for passengers traveling with pets at Sheremetyevo Airport. Travelers flying with animals on domestic flights can now complete pre-flight procedures at Desk No. 349, separate from the general check-in lines.

Staff at the desk verify travel documents, ensure that pet carriers meet airline requirements, issue boarding passes to passengers, and register pets for the flight. Passengers can also receive advice and recommendations to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for their animals.

Initially, the service is available at a single desk in the airport. Aeroflot plans to expand the offering by opening an additional desk for passengers flying internationally in the future.

Aeroflot was recently recognized at the First All-Russian Award for Animal Protection and Ecology, winning in the key category “Corporate Social Responsibility: Business for the Benefit of Animals.”
