The Peninsula London is raising the bar for pet-friendly hospitality with the launch of a dedicated dog grooming residency, created in partnership with Chelsea-based premium brand Love My Human (LMH). The hotel says it is the first in London to offer an in-house grooming experience for dogs – combining five-star service with design-led comfort for four-legged guests.
Launching on 10 February, the residency is positioned as an extension of The Peninsula London’s long-standing dog-friendly ethos, welcoming both hotel guests and local residents who want professional grooming without leaving the building.
“Partnering with Love My Human allows us to extend the same thoughtful level of care to our four-legged guests as we do to their owners,” said Rolf Buehlmann, Managing Director at The Peninsula London. “As a dog owner myself, it’s important to me that the whole family feels genuinely looked after when staying with us.”
The dedicated grooming space is located in the hotel’s elegant ground-floor retail arcade, adjacent to the floral atelier, and will offer bespoke services tailored to each dog’s needs. Treatments range from full grooms, washing, nail clipping and brush outs, to teeth cleaning and puppy facials – positioning the residency as a luxury salon experience rather than a standard pet service.
The partnership also marks Love My Human’s second grooming location in London. Known as a premium grooming and lifestyle brand, LMH operates at the intersection of animal welfare, modern pet ownership and design-led retail, with services delivered by experienced senior groomers.
“We are delighted to bring our expertise to The Peninsula London,” said Jenny Matthews, Founder of Love My Human. “As a local neighbour, it felt natural to collaborate with a hotel that shares our commitment to quality and thoughtful service. Our aim is to provide a calm, professional, and enjoyable grooming experience for dogs, while their owners can relax and enjoy the hotel’s amenities.”
The Peninsula London has designed the residency with the same attention to detail found across the property. Interiors have been painted using colours provided by Little Greene, the British paint company known for its heritage palette and sustainable craftsmanship.
The grooming residency also reinforces the hotel’s broader dog-friendly approach. Dogs are welcomed throughout the property, including Brooklands Bar, Canton Blue, and Little Blue Noodle Bar – making it easier for owners to treat the experience as part of a full day at the hotel, rather than a quick appointment.
While dogs are groomed, owners are encouraged to make the most of the hotel’s facilities. Guests can visit The Peninsula London Boutique & Café for refreshments, unwind at the Spa & Wellness Centre, or book express services at the Errol Douglas Salon. Options include a Cut and Blow Dry, Gentleman’s Beard Trim, or Signature Manicure, turning a grooming visit into a wider moment of indulgence.
Services and pricing include:
Full Groom (£110–£180, subject to size)
Wash & Tidy (£93–£150)
Wash & Fluff (£88–£120)
À la carte options include nail clipping (£16) and brush outs (from £50). Additional treatments include ultrasonic teeth cleaning (£48–£58), blueberry facials (£35), and nose and paw balm (£35). Extra charges may apply for matting or where a second groomer is required.
The pop-up will run from 10 February to 10 May, operating Monday to Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Beyond the residency itself, The Peninsula London continues to position dogs as genuine guests rather than an afterthought. Rooms and suites include in-room pet amenities such as bespoke bowls, plush beds and soft toys, with dog walking and pet-sitting services available on request – giving owners peace of mind while enjoying the hotel or exploring the city.
