Wizz Air is doubling down on Albania. Together with Tirana International Airport, the airline has announced its largest-ever expansion in the country, unveiling four new routes and basing a new Airbus A321neo in the capital by summer 2026.
The new services will connect Tirana to four fresh European destinations:
Stockholm Arlanda (Sweden): four flights per week starting March 2, 2026
Cologne (Germany): three flights per week starting December 16, 2025
Billund (Denmark): two flights per week starting March 3, 2026
Tenerife (Spain): two flights per week starting December 14, 2025
Fares begin from 2,490 LEK, with tickets already on sale via wizzair.com and the Wizz app.
This expansion comes with the arrival of Wizz Air’s 14th Airbus A321neo in Tirana from December 2025, enabling the carrier to operate 57 routes across 18 countries from the Albanian capital. In addition to the new destinations, several popular routes will see frequency increases, including Tirana–Milan Malpensa (up to 21 weekly), Tirana–Brussels (14 weekly), Tirana–Turin (11 weekly), and Tirana–Berlin (9 weekly).
To celebrate, Wizz Air is offering a 15% discount on select flights booked on September 9 for travel between September 17 and December 17, 2025, available to Wizz Discount Club members.
“Today marks another exciting milestone in Wizz Air’s journey in Albania,” said Piotr Trawka, Commercial Officer for Western and Southern Europe. “With this biggest-ever network in Albania, we are proud to further strengthen our partnership with Tirana International Airport and contribute to Albania’s growing role as a travel base in the region.”
Since launching operations in Albania in 2017, Wizz Air has carried over 19 million passengers to and from the country. With the latest expansion, the airline is cementing its position as Albania’s leading carrier and a gateway to the rest of Europe.
