Starting in 2026, the iconic Al Ándalus train-hotel — known for its luxury tours through Andalusia — will launch a new seven-day route between Madrid and Seville, offering travelers a journey inspired by the golden age of rail travel in the 1930s. Operated by Spain’s national rail company Renfe, the tour combines vintage elegance with modern comfort in one of Europe’s most atmospheric train experiences.
Running from April to October, the new itinerary includes seven days and six nights on board, with stops in ten cities and charming villages — five of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The tour follows an all-inclusive format, with luxury accommodation in fully restored Belle Époque-style cabins (complete with private bathrooms), gourmet meals both onboard and in select local restaurants, and all excursions and cultural experiences included.
Highlights of the trip include a visit to a traditional cheese farm in La Mancha, a guided tour of the stunning Mezquita-Cathedral in Córdoba, and a performance of Andalusian horse ballet in Jerez de la Frontera — a unique spectacle combining equestrian choreography and classical music.
But what truly sets Al Ándalus apart is its rich history. The train’s original carriages were built in early 20th-century France and once belonged to the British royal family, who used them for glamorous journeys between Calais and the French Riviera. Today, these heritage coaches have been meticulously restored, preserving their art deco interiors, polished wood paneling, and vintage charm.
Prices for the seven-day journey start at €5,000 per couple. Bookings for the 2026 season are now open on Renfe’s official website — a golden opportunity for travelers looking to explore Spain in timeless style.
