British airline easyJet has officially reopened its base in Palma de Mallorca for the summer season, from April to October. With a flight schedule offering three million available seats, this represents an increase of over 9% compared to the same period in 2024.
The airline’s commitment to sustained growth on the Balearic Island is further highlighted by the expansion of its route network. This summer, easyJet is introducing five new routes from Palma, connecting passengers to Leeds Bradford, Milan Linate, Palermo, Strasbourg, and Zurich. In total, easyJet will serve 36 destinations from Palma during the season.
The reopening of the Palma base coincides with the relaunch of operations at the airline’s seasonal bases in Malaga and Alicante. Collectively, these three bases will offer nearly 7 million seats. Including domestic destinations, easyJet’s total summer season capacity in Spain has increased to over 14.5 million seats—marking a 7% growth from the previous year.
Since commencing operations in Spain 29 years ago, easyJet has transported approximately 260 million passengers to and from the country. The airline now connects Spain with Europe and the UK via 234 routes and operates four bases in the country: Barcelona, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, and Alicante.
As easyJet continues to reinforce its presence in Spain, travelers can expect greater connectivity and expanded travel options for the 2025 summer season.
