easyJet Adds Tromsø and Rovaniemi to Winter Destinations from BER

easyJet is expanding its winter offerings from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) with two exciting new destinations in the far north. The airline now operates flights to Tromsø, Norway, and Rovaniemi, Finland, offering unique Arctic experiences to travelers.

Starting this winter, easyJet offers direct flights to Tromsø twice a week, departing from BER on Mondays and Fridays. Known as the “Gateway to the Arctic,” Tromsø offers spectacular Northern Lights displays, whale watching in its fjords, and world-class ski tours in the Lyngen Alps.

In addition to Tromsø, easyJet has introduced a new route to Rovaniemi, located on the Arctic Circle in Finland. Flights to Rovaniemi will depart on Saturdays and Tuesdays, starting from December 7. The city is famed for its connection to Santa Claus, with the Santa Claus Village open year-round and an official post office where visitors can send letters with a special Arctic Circle postmark.

In a festive touch, easyJet has launched its “Letters to Santa” campaign. Until December 17, families and children in the region can drop off their Christmas wish lists at a special easyJet letterbox located behind security in Terminal 1 of BER. Alternatively, letters can be handed in at the easyJet check-in counter. The easyJet crew will personally deliver the letters to Rovaniemi, ensuring they reach Santa Claus in time for Christmas.

Alongside these northern destinations, easyJet has expanded its winter network with flights to Agadir, Morocco; Lyon, France; and Cairo, Egypt, since November. Additionally, Liverpool in the UK will return to the BER flight schedule in February 2025.

For travelers seeking a winter getaway to the Arctic or planning a holiday adventure in the North, easyJet’s new routes offer a chance to explore some of the most unique and magical destinations in Europe.
