The 18th annual Global Wellness Summit (GWS) opened with vibrant energy today in St Andrews, Scotland, gathering more than 500 leaders in wellness from 43 countries at the historic Old Course Hotel for a sold-out, three-day event. Sponsored by Kohler, the summit revolves around the theme, “A Watershed Moment for Wellness,” emphasizing a period of pivotal growth, innovation, and disruption in the wellness industry.
The summit’s program will closely examine water as a fundamental element of wellness, sparking discussions on diverse wellness topics including fitness, mental health, wellness tourism, technology, public health policy, nutrition, and real estate.
Nancy Davis, GWS Chief Creative Officer and Executive Director, highlighted the theme’s relevance, saying, “‘A Watershed Moment for Wellness’ has been an exciting challenge to capture in an event. The theme has inspired thinkers and doers to come together in St Andrews to explore the possibilities: what can the wellness industry do now, with its collective muscle and financial might, to mitigate some of the most pressing global issues of our time? Climate, mental wellbeing, physical health and so much more. This ‘watershed moment’ is a call to gather, to share ideas about the future, and to act.”
Delegates can look forward to an exclusive research update from the Global Wellness Institute through the release of its annual Global Wellness Economy Monitor. This eagerly anticipated report will offer insights into current trends and the future trajectory of the wellness economy.
The summit also provides rich networking opportunities and wellness activities, including wild sea swims, yoga sessions with Ashley Kohler, and movement practices with Sanctum. The event’s comprehensive schedule underscores GWS’s dedication to fostering a global wellness dialogue that merges innovation with action, ensuring wellness leaders leave St Andrews inspired to drive impactful change in the industry and beyond.
