In a momentous milestone, The Luxury Collection, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s prestigious portfolio, proudly announces a new luxury hotel in Tbilisi – a Luxury Collection Hotel, Tbilisi. This marks the esteemed brand’s first foray into Georgia, an Eastern European gem renowned for its diverse landscapes, distinctive cuisine, and rich cultural tapestry influenced by both Western and Eastern traditions.
Situated at the heart of Freedom Square, the iconic address of Tbilisi, the hotel stands as a gateway for global explorers seeking to immerse themselves in the city’s charm and diversity. The unique location, at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, positions Georgia as an enchanting leisure destination.
“Bringing The Luxury Collection to Georgia marks a significant milestone for the brand, further underscoring our continued expansion into the world’s most intriguing destinations,” said Philipp Weghmann, Vice President and Global Brand Leader of The Luxury Collection. “Paragraph Freedom Square beautifully weaves contemporary design and signature experiences with the rich history of Tbilisi, and we look forward to welcoming guests to enjoy this remarkable region.”
Designed with the concept of “Epitome of Contrast,” the hotel seamlessly blends the old and the new, capturing the essence of Tbilisi. Conceived by renowned architectural firm Hausart Georgia, Paragraph Freedom Square is housed in a striking, contemporary building with a double-curved glass façade that reflects the beauty of Freedom Square and its iconic landmarks, including the State Opera House, the historic City Assembly, and neo-classical style Art Museums.
The interiors, designed by HAT Design Paris, draw inspiration from Georgia’s rich heritage and indigenous history. Elements inspired by Chokha, a centuries-old national folk costume, and traditional ornaments with distinctive geometrical patterns adorn the public spaces, 220 guestrooms, and suites. The guestrooms, illuminated by floor-to-ceiling windows, offer a warm color palette and furnishings crafted from contrasting materials, creating a subtle luxurious ambience. Bespoke amenities and wine fridges stocked with local Georgian wines enhance the guest experience.
Paragraph Freedom Square boasts five distinct restaurants and bars curated by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Stephane Gortina, showcasing the finest Georgian cuisine. The hotel also features the Paragraph Spa, offering six private treatment rooms, infinity and indoor circular pools, and a 100-square-meter fitness center—the first PRAMA studio in Georgia.
As part of the Destination Discovery program, guests can explore local cultural heritage through immersive experiences such as Georgian wine tastings, cooking classes, and private tours of the State Opera House. The hotel’s well-appointed meeting and event space, spanning 1,400 square meters, offers flexibility with boardrooms, meeting rooms, and ballrooms accommodating up to 700 guests.
Paragraph Freedom Square sets a new standard for luxury hospitality in Tbilisi, inviting guests to indulge in a rich tapestry of experiences while enjoying the unparalleled comfort and service synonymous with The Luxury Collection.
