Jet2 and TUI have both canceled all flights to Rhodes. Jet2 has canceled all flights to the island of Rhodes until July 30th due to the ongoing wildfires raging for almost a week. On the other hand, TUI announced on Sunday that they are temporarily suspending all passenger flights to the Greek island of Rhodes.
On Saturday, the spokesperson of the Greek fire service, Ioannis Artopios, stated that the fire on Rhodes is currently the most intense in Greece. He also warned that Greece’s heat will intensify further in the next three days. In response, the President of the municipal organization for culture and sports of Rhodes, Teris Hadzioannou, mentioned that over 30,000 people may need to be evacuated to safe areas from the regions affected by the wildfire.
