Aeroflot airline has requested permission for regular flights from Moscow to the special administrative region of Macau, China, according to materials for the meeting of the interdepartmental commission responsible for allocating permits (published on the website of Rosaviation).
The permission would allow for flights to be operated seven times a week.
Currently, the company’s Chinese route network includes flights to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
Aeroflot has also requested permits for flights from Moscow to Tunisia (three times a week to Enfidha and seven times a week to Djerba) and Izmir, Turkey (14 times a week).
Previously, Aeroflot had planned to launch regular flights to Enfidha starting from May 30, but the flights have not commenced.
